Boycott
We must get back to the fundamentals because it doesn’t take a Ph.D. in mathematics to know that our greatest strength is in our numbers. We must utilize the asset that we have to effectively change things. Numbers and the dollar, as well as political and social boycotts have been successful strategies used around the world to implement radical changes in the laws of our society. So we say it is time to use these techniques again, but this time on a broader scale.

We know the large profits that ExxonMobile reported during the last fifteen months. The federal and state governments say they are looking into price gouging, but we know that laws are made to protect the large corporation, and that proving price gouging is almost impossible. So we must effect change ourselves. Therefore, we are asking that African-Americans do not purchase gasoline at ExxonMobile stations from June 20, 2006 thru June 19, 2007. Higher gasoline prices have hurt our community so now we must hurt the profits at ExxonMobile. We believe that our community boycott of ExxonMobile will force their company to reduce their prices, which in turn will reduce the price of gasoline at competitive companies of ExxonMobile. This strategy will only work if we show unity by not purchasing gasoline at any ExxonMobile station or their subsidiaries.

We are currently looking at several corporations that have a history of discriminating against minorities. We need your help with this project by sharing your story with us. We will compile this information to determine which companies we should boycott next year.

If further information about how to file a claim against a company is needed, then please call our office or send us an email. We will fax or email the necessary information to you so that you will be prepared to meet with the EEOC representative. Our goal is to assist you in knowing your rights and fighting the power elite in numbers and dollars.
